About the Journal

NOUN Journal of Criminology and Security Studies (NJCSS) is the official bi-annual journal of the Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Its aim is to address social issues, delinquencies and crime from a multi-dimensional perspective.

The Journal publishes any contribution that advances knowledge and practice of criminology extending to all aspects of security studies including socio-economic, political, psychological, technological, legal as well as environmental issues. NJCSS’s penchant is to maintain high level academic culture of excellence by publishing only well researched theoretical and empirical articles as well as book reviews.
